Allan Harper

services for Allan Harper, 60, of East South St. Ogdensburg will be held at the
convenience of the family. Arrangements are with Frary Funeral Home,
Ogdensburg. Mr. Harper passed away Friday (February 27, 2009) at Claxton-Hepburn
Medical Center.  He had been in ill
health for the last several years.

is survived by his wife, Jane, of Ogdensburg; two daughters, Tammy and her
husband Melvin Perry of Ogdensburg and Cherry Harper of Heuvelton; three sons,
Jason Harper of Indiana, Jade Harper of Heuvelton and Jamie Harper of Georgia;
two brothers, Dwight and Donald Harper, both of Massachusetts; one sister,
Ellen Wright, of Ogdensburg; and six grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son
Allen Robert Harper in 1970.

was born on April 29, 1948 in Ogdensburg; the son of Herbert and Helen Smithers
Harper. He attended Ogdensburg schools.  He was once employed at Potsdam University and
for Spencer Merry. He also worked at the Ogdensburgh Cemetery.  He was a self-employed carpenter.

enjoyed wood crafts, painting, spending time with his dogs “Bam Bam” and
“Whiskers”. He was known for his kindness and sense of humor.

    Jane and Family,

    I’m sorry to hear of your lost. I’m Ben’s soon to be ex. I’m sure the kids don’t remember me. We would all go to Granma & Granpa Harper’s camp on the river and swim and fish. Ben & I moved to Massachusett near Janet and Dwight over 30 years ago. Sorry we never kept in touch

    We send our Love and prayers. Allan was a unique man very good natured and he loved his dogs. He will be missed.
