Funeral Services for Anna Frisina Sr., age 85, of 410
Riverside Ave., will be held graveside at the convenience of the family, as per
Anna’s wishes. Mrs. Frisina passed away on Wednesday (July 8, 2009) at the home
of her daughter Sharlene, son-in-law Alan, and grandson John.

She is survived by two daughters, Sharlene Stevenson and her
husband, Alan of Ogdensburg, and Joan-Ann Matusiak and her husband, Thomas of
Buffalo; one son, Anthony Frisina and his wife Lorraine of New Hampshire; two sisters,
Katherine LaComb and Mary Joan Seguin of Ogdensburg; and several grandchildren
and great-grandchildren. She was
predeceased by seven brothers, Peter, George, William, Rev. Gerald, Arthur, Henry,
and Harold Sharland.

Anna was born on October 11, 1923 in Belmont, NY the
daughter of Alex and Elzire Morrissette Sharland. She graduated from St. Mary’s
Academy. She married Anthony Frisina Sr. on June 28, 1947 at Notre Dame Church
with her brother the Rev. Gerald Sharland officiating. She served in the
Women’s Army Corp. at Camp Ellis, LA. She worked for Woolworth’s and later for
Hepburn Hospital. She then retired from the St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center.
She worked with Catholic Charities and helped with the placement of many
children. She was a member of the Women
of the Moose and Ladies Home Bureau.

She enjoyed reading, playing Bingo, and spending time with
her grandson.

Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the American
Cancer Society.

      Dear Sharlene and families,
      We send our heartfelt sympathy to all of you on the loss of your der mother, sister and grandmother. She was a wonderful lady. Our visits with her when we came to the “burg” were always filled with laughter and contagious smiles. Love, Bob and Linda
