A Memorial Service for Arlene L. Teuscher, age 88, of Ogdensburg, NY, will be held on Friday, May 24, 2019, at 11:00AM at the Hammond Presbyterian Church with Rev. Evon Lloyd officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery following funeral services. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary Funeral Home, Ogdensburg. Mrs. Teuscher passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2019, at Riverledge Nursing Home.
Arlene is survived by two daughters, Christine Sovie and her companion, John Bresett of Ogdensburg, NY and Kimberly Miller and her husband, Rick, of Potsdam, NY; one son, Carl Conklin and his wife, Sandy, of Cazenovia, NY; one step son, Arthur Teuscher of Waterville, NY and one step daughter, Cindy Morgan and her husband, Robert, of Lincoln, CA; one brother, Gary Eggleson and his wife, Phyllis, of Morristown, NY; three sisters, Shirley Whitmarsh of Edwards, NY, Anita Turner and her husband, Gary, of Morristown, NY and Gail Spillman of Morristown, NY; a son-in-law, Kevin Kelly of Niskayuna, NY; ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one on his way; also many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her parents, Carl and Mildred Eggleson; a daughter, Kitty Kelly, on October 25, 2017; a stepdaughter, Darlene Palleschi, on April 11, 2004; and one grandson, Levi Sovie, on October 30, 2012.
Arlene was born on February 16, 1931, in the town of Antwerp, NY, the daughter of Carl and Mildred Burwell Eggleson. She attended Morristown Central School. Arlene was first married to Francis Conklin which ended in divorce. She later married Arthur Teuscher on July 4, 1969, in Morristown, NY, at the home of Arlene’s parents. Arthur predeceased her on April 22, 2007. Arlene first worked as a hairdresser and later retired as an assembler from Newell Manufacturing in Ogdensburg, NY.
Arlene enjoyed playing Bingo, going to the casino, reading romance novels, and playing cards. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends, and watching her grandchildren’s sporting events.
