Mrs. Bruyere is survived by three sons, Brad Bruyere,
Carversville, PA, Larry Bruyere, Canyon Country, CA and Tim Bruyere, Fresno,
CA; and four daughters, Deborah Woodward, Massena, Elizabeth Bruyere, Saratoga
Springs, Janice Fischeli, Destin, FL and Barb Bruyere, Trumansburg, NY.

She was predeceased by her husband, Emile Bruyere, her
adoptive parents, Jessie and Alfred Bleich, and her widowed mom’s husband,
Frank Amo.

Mrs. Bruyere was born on February 5, 1928 in New York City,
the daughter of Alfred and Jessie Bleich. She attended school
in Ogdensburg. She married Emile Bruyere
on July 17, 1948 at Notre Dame with Rev. Armand Brunet officiating. The
couple moved to the Norwood-Norfolk area. Music played an important part in her
life. There was always a piano present
in her home. She enjoyed singing and at
one time sang on the radio in the U.S. and Canada. She also enjoyed hosting parties and playing
cards with her friends on the weekends. At
one time, she and her husband and another couple had a community newspaper
called The Raquette News – Cents where she and her friend Barbara had a column
named Dear Bev and Barb where they gave advice to people with problems – mostly
on a humorous level.

Donations may be made in her memory to the SPCA.

It is always tragic to hear of the loss of a friends mother, even more so when the friend harkens back to the days of our beginnings. Bradley and family, our sympathies are with you during this sad time in your lives. Know that “mom” is in a better place.
    Sincerely and forever in friendship,

    Steve Durham

The Bruyere Family: We are so sorry to hear about your loss. Sadly it is the time in our lives when we are all facing the same kind of losses, but our siblings keep us strong. Comfort each other and know that your childhood friends and acquaintances are thinking of you all and wishing you well.
