Funeral services for Carol “Bette” Eustis, age 79, of 806 Riverview Towers, Ogdensburg, will be
held on Tuesday, October 27, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church with Rev. Robert Longbottom
officiating. Arrangements are with Frary Funeral Home. Mrs. Eustis passed away unexpectedly on
Friday, October 23, 2009, at her residence.


Mrs. Eustis is predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Lorne
G. Eustis who passed away in May 2007. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Raymond and Linda Dashnaw of Myrtle
Beach, SC. Mrs. Eustis is also survived
by two daughters, Marlene Economides and her husband, Christos, of Tampa, FL,
Michele McKeever Bellinger and her husband, Donald, of Ogdensburg, one son,
John, of Raleigh, N.C and eight grandchildren, Matthew and Shannon Downs of
Tampa, FL, Nathan and Allison Downs of San Francisco, CA, Benjamin and Jillian
McKeever of Ogdensburg, Tabitha McKeever of Ogdensburg, Jacob and Joshua Eustis
of Raleigh, NC and Heather and Steven Kennedy of Rochester, NY. Also, three great grandchildren, Brandon and
Gavin Downs of Tampa, FL and Esther McKeever of Ogdensburg, NY and a strong
body of friends and fellow worshipers at St. John’s Episcopal Church.

Mrs. Eustis was born on December 13, 1929 in Ogdensburg, the
daughter of Carl and Eva Robillard Dashnaw. She married Lorne Eustis on March 8, 1952 at St. John’s Episcopal Church
with Rev. Cannon George A. Palmer officiating. Mrs. Eustis worked for Carney’s Ceramics for fifteen years.

She was an active member
of several community organizations to include The Eastern Star Rebecca’s, VFW
Ladies Auxiliary and Tenants Association.

Donations may be made in her memory to Hospice of St.
Lawrence Valley or St. John’s Episcopal Church.

    My sincere sympathy to the family of “Bette” Eustis. I will dearly miss her warm smile and presence. She would stop by the photo-lab every week or so and we would have a short chat.

    I was sorry to read on-line of Bette’s passing. I have fond memories of Bette and Lorne and I know she will be missed by many.     Dear John and family, it is with great sadness that we accept the passing of your mother. She was so loved by so many within St. John’s Episcopal church in Ogdensburg.
    As a former elementary student in her Sunday School classes, I will always remember her for her compassion and care of others.     Marlene,Michelle, and John, Words cannot express our heartfelt sympathy on the loss of your mother, we all had wonderfull times with you and your mom and will treasure our fond memories of your mother as we shared memories of her and our mother, as Gloria passed days later to join your mother in heaven.
