Funeral services for Danny T. Edwards, age 61, of 1501 Ford
Street, Ogdensburg, will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at
St. Mary’s Cathedral with Rev. Terry LaValley officiating and Rev. F. James
Shurtleff concelebrating. Calling hours
will be held on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Frary Funeral
Home. Members of the Knights of Columbus
will meet at 7:00 p.m. for a ritual. Mr.
Edwards passed away on December 18, 2009 after being stricken at his home.

Mr. Edwards is survived by his wife, Patricia; his daughter,
Dawn Dibble, Ogdensburg; two sons, Dan Edwards and his wife, Jen, Liverpool and
Patrick Edwards, Ogdensburg; a sister, Gloria Loffler, Queensbury, NY; two
brothers, Dave Edwards, Arizona and John Edwards, Ogdensburg; and three
grandchildren, Kyrstin Edwards, Liverpool, Timothy Dibble, and JT Lalonde, both
of Ogdensburg.

Mr. Edwards was born in Ogdensburg on September 4, 1948, the
son of Clarence and Vivian Perkins Edwards. He graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy. He married Patricia Cunningham on July 11,
1970 at Notre Dame Church. He joined the
United States Air Force in 1966 and retired in 1988 as a Tech Sergeant. After retirement from the Air Force, Mr.
Edwards went to work for the NYS Department of Conservation until 1991. Mr. Edwards also worked for Northern Building
Supply, Hackett’s Hardware and NAPA Auto Parts.

Mr. Edwards was a wonderful volunteer at the Knights of
Columbus and was a member for 17 years. This past year, he was Knight of the Year and was the current Deputy
Grand Knight. He enjoyed golf, bowling
and fishing.

Donations may be made in his memory to the SPCA.

    Sorry to here about Dan’s Loss he was a great and funny man. Proud Father and Proud person of his career in the Air Force. He will be missed down at theh knights of Columbus and in many other way’s Im sure.

    Mr. Edwards always treated the friends of his children great and welcomed them into his home. He was a pleasure to be around and he will be missed by many in our community. My thoughts are prayers are with the family – I am sorry for their loss of a very good man.
