Funeral services for Dominic A. Testani, age 84, of Young
Drive, Potsdam and formerly
of Heuvelton will be held on Monday,
January 28, 2008 at 8:00 pm
at Frary Funeral Home with Rev. Jay Seymour officiating. Burial will be held in the spring at
Hillcrest Cemetery. Calling hours will
be held at the funeral home on Sunday,
January 27, 2008 from 2:00
to 4:00 pm and on Monday, January 28,
from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Mr. Testani passed away at Fletcher
Allen Medical Center
on Thursday, January 24, 2008.
Mr. Testani is survived by two sons; Anthony (Tony) Testani
and James Testani both of Heuvelton; two daughters, Mrs. David (Mary) Hebert
and Victoria Sijon both of Heuvelton; one brother, Louis Testani of Ogdensburg
and four granddaughters, Betsy Hebert,
Bailey Hebert, Mary Sijon, Mia Barbera. He is predeceased by one brother, Joseph
Testani and one sister; Lucille Fournier.
Mr. Testani was born on September 1, 1923 in Norwood,
the son of Vincerzo and Mary (Faustinelli) Testani. He attended local schools in Heuvelton. He served in the Army during World War II
where he worked as a scout and translator and where he was wounded and received
the Purple Heart. He first married
Eloise Kirk on December 10, 1951
at St. Raphael’s Church in Heuvelton with Father Martin officiating. Mrs. Testani predeceased him on July 25, 1982. His second marriage was to Murial
He worked as a carpenter for Carpenter’s Local # 747 in Watertown
where he retired in 1985, being the oldest living member. He was a member of
the AmVets in Heuvelton and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
