Donald G. Jackson

A Celebration of Life for Donald G. Jackson, age 69, of Brushton, NY and formerly of Harrisville, NY, will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2019, at 4:00PM at the Harrisville Fire Hall located at 14226 Church Street. Calling hours will be held from 2:00PM to 4:00PM at the Harrisville Fire Hall prior to the Celebration of Life. Burial will be in East Pitcairn Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary Funeral Home, Harrisville. Mr. Jackson passed away on Monday, May 13, 2019, at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital in Plattsburgh, NY.

Donald is survived by his siblings, Beth Mattice and her husband, Gene, of Gouverneur, NY, Robert Jackson of Brushton, NY, Shelley Pratt and her husband, Brad, of Harrisville, NY, John Jackson and his wife, Shaleen, of Dexter, NY, and Diane Thomas and her husband, Donnie, Harrisville, NY and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Donald is predeceased by his siblings, Kenneth Jackson, Helen Dana, Orly Jackson, Gloria Jackson, Larry Jackson, Sr., Milton Jackson and Gordon Jackson.

Donald was born on November 16, 1949, in Pitcairn, NY, the son of Milton and Helen Perrigo Jackson. He graduated Harrisville Central School in 1967. Donald then moved to Florida and started his own business, AAA Upholstery, in St. Petersburg, FL for thirty-five years. He moved back after retiring.

Donald enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and spending time with family.

    I am so sorry. I only met him a few times. Ashley speaks very highly of him and dancing. I will be there with you on Saturday. I am so sorry.

    I’m so sorry for the loss of this man. My condolences go out to the Jackson family. There’s a Scripture d love to share that always comforted me when I lost someone close to me in death. It’s in Revelation 21:4 which causes says: “And he [God] will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither wklll mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” This is a promise from God they he will end death forever in the future and we will see our loved ones again!
