Funeral services for Erwin K. Bice, Jr., age 79, of Harrison
St., Ogdensburg will be held on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Kendrew Methodist
Church with Margaret Hance officiating.
Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at
Frary Funeral Home. Mr. Bice passed
away June 11, 2008 at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center.
Mr. Bice is survived by his wife, Betty; three daughters,
Nancy Kio and her husband, Jon, of Rensselaer Falls, Lori Barr and her husband,
Cecil, of Ogdensburg and Angie Lovely and her husband, David, of Ogdensburg;
one son, Eddie of Phoenix, Arizona; two brothers, James of Ogdensburg and David
and his wife, Peggy, of North Dakota; six grandchildren and four great
grandchildren. He is predeceased by a
brother, Lynn; three sisters, Freda Streeter, Marlene Shaver and Eva
Mr. Bice was born on October 16, 1928 in Norfolk, the son of
Erwin K. Bice, Sr. and Frances Tupper.
He attended local schools. He served
in the U.S. Air Force from 1948 to 1951.
He married Betty Edwards on April 4, 1949 at Notre Dame Church with Rev.
Armand Burnett officiating. He worked
for Robert McEwen Custom House in Maintenance for seventeen years, retiring in
1989. Mr. Bice was a member of the
Amvets. His hobbies included walking,
gardening, animals, and feeding the neighborhood dogs.
