Funeral services for Janet Fournier, 76, of Piercefield, NY
formerly of Ogdensburg will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at 10 a.m. at
Notre Dame Church with Fr. James Shurtleff officiating. Burial will be held in
Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Monday, November 17, 2008
from 2:00 to 4: 00 and 6:00 to 8:00 at Frary Funeral Home in Ogdensburg. Mrs.
Fournier passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2008 at Adirondack Medical
Center in Saranac Lake, NY.
Ms. Fournier is survived by Two sons, George McIntosh III;
Raymond McIntosh, Piercefield, NY; Scott McIntosh, Ogdensburg; three daughters,
Sheri McIntosh, Utica, NY; Dawn McIntosh, Bellevue, Washington. and Jane
McIntosh, Yorkville, NY; seven grandchildren, Sara McIntosh, Mathew Hurlburt,
Jessica McIntosh, Trevor Davy, Jason McIntosh, Sean McIntosh, and Daniel
Fisher; and four great-grandchildren, Alexander Deloney, Elizabeth Sovie, Tieanna
Davy, and Tyson Murphy; two brothers, James Fournier and Raymond Fournier; three
sisters, Ceola Brouckhaert, Emma Robilard, and Franny Pierce and several nieces
and nephews. He is also survived by a
mother-in- Law Hildegard McIntosh of Adrian, Michigan. She was predeceased by one so George
McIntosh & one sister, Catherine
LaFlair; and two brothers, Robert and Richard Fournier.
Ms. Fournier was born in Ogdensburg on September 18, 1932,
the daughter of Adelord and Sadie Bromley Fournier. She graduated from OFA in
1950. She married George McIntosh Jr. on March 1, 1952, that marriage ended in
divorce. Ms. Fournier worked for the
Journal and various veterans organizations. She then retired from Augsbury
Corporation. She volunteered for Notre Dame Rectory and St. Vincent DePaul. She
also volunteered as a foster grandparent at Sunmount DDSO and volunteered for
the Red Cross. Ms. Fournier was a founding member of The Natural History Museum
of the Adirondacks and enjoyed taking her grandchildren there.
