Calling hours for Fumiko Fitzgerald, age 78, of Ogdensburg, NY, will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018, at 12:00PM to 2:00PM at Frary Funeral Home, Ogdensburg. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. There will be no funeral services. Mrs. Fitzgerald passed away unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday, November 28, 2018.
Fumiko is survived by a niece, Cheryl Brassard and her significant other, Dick Ward, and her children, Amy Foster and her husband, Ryan, and Ryan Premo, a nephew, Randall Brassard, a niece, Lori L. Lalonde and her husband, Scott, and their children, Marissa Caglar and her significant other, Dylan LaMont, Michael Caglar, a nephew, Michael Fisher and his wife, Junelle, and their children, Nichole (Robert Kennedy) and Leah Fisher, a niece, Marcy Rickett and her husband, Kevin, and their children, Kristin Arquitt, Brooke Dailey, Bryana Tulip and Kaden Rickett, a nephew, Jeffrey Dishaw and his wife, Roseanna, and their son, Bentley, a niece, Judy Hubert, a niece, Debbie Zvigulus, and a brother, Tomoko Kageyama and nephew of Tokyo, Japan, a step-son, Tracy Fitzgerald and his wife, Tracey, a step-daughter, Deborah Marquie and her husband, Claude. She is predeceased her husband, John Fitzgerald, a nephew, Timothy McGrory, and two sister-in-laws, Margaret McGrory and Barbara Dishaw.
Fumiko was born on October 10, 1940, in Japan. She married John Fitzgerald on December 22, 1983, in Oahu, Hawaii. He predeceased her on November 11, 1999. Fumiko was a translator for tourists in Las Vegas before moving back to Ogdensburg with her husband. Fumiko than began seamstress work out of her home for many years. She volunteered in the Claxton Hepburn Women’s Auxiliary and was also a very talented artist and painter.
