Funeral arrangements for Harriett J. Dodge, age 82, of 706
Ford Avenue, Ogdensburg, are with Frary Funeral Home in Ogdensburg. A funeral service will be held on Monday,
October 5, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church of Ogdensburg with
Rev. Laurena Will officiating. There
will be no public calling hours. Burial
will be in the Wilson Family Cemetery at Sunnyside, Morristown, N.Y. Mrs. Dodge passed away on Wednesday, September
30, 2009.

Mrs. Dodge is survived by her daughter, Deborah A.
Parker and her husband, John of Kannapolis, NC and son, Daniel J. Dodge and his
wife, Anne of Ogdensburg; six grandchildren, John G. Herriman of Canandaigua,
NY, Daniel T. Herriman of Mt. Pleasant, NC, Katie M. Dodge of Ogdensburg, NY,
Kristen L. Parker of Kannapolis, NC, Zachary D. Dodge of Ogdensburg, NY and Meg
E. Dodge of Ogdensburg, NY; two great grandchildren, Leighanna Helms and Jaimie
Herriman of Mt. Pleasant, NC. Mrs. Dodge
is survived by her sister, Helen LaRue of Ogdensburg, NY, two brothers Claude
Wilson of Ogdensburg, NY and Elmer Wilson of Corfu, NY; and several nieces and
nephews. Mrs. Dodge was predeceased in
life by her daughter, Sandra L. Dodge, two sisters, Irene Falardeau and Alice
Russell, two brothers, John Wilson and Charles Wilson.

Mrs. Dodge was born on March 21, 1927 in Morristown,
NY the daughter of Charles and Catherine (Countryman) Wilson.  She
attended Ogdensburg Free Academy and moved to Watertown for her senior year and
graduated from Watertown High School.  She married Glenn Dodge, which
ended in divorce.

Mrs. Dodge was employed for many years in the
Business Office at the St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center and then worked for the
Ogdensburg Bridge Port Authority as secretary to the Executive Director and the
Board of Directors, from which she retired, after 23 years of service in
January 1987.

Donations may be made in her memory to Hospice of
St. Lawrence Valley or the Ogdensburg Boys’ and Girls’ Club Foundation.

    Sorry to hear of your loss, Harriett was a great lady, she was so good to her friend Eleanor. I enjoyed working with her. She will be missed.
