for John Rivet, age 58, Ogdensburg, are at the convenience of the family. Mr.
Rivet passed away on Tuesday (January 13, 2009) at home under the care of Hospice,
and especially Jill SovieArrangements
with Frary Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

He is
survived by his wife, Gail; three daughters Heather and her husband Allan
Addison, Morristown; Sarah House, Oxbow; Carla LaJoy, Ogdensburg; three sons
John LaJoy, Morristown; and James and Scott Conger, Williamson; two stepchildren
Hop Lawton, Fulton and Andy Lawton, Oswego; two brothers, Theodore “Smokey”
LaJoy, Morristown and Moe (Rosemary) LaJoy, Ogdensburg;  and one sister Norma (Sydney) Brennen, Canada
and ten grandchildren.

Rivet was born, John R. LaJoy, on December 10, 1950 in Ogdensburg to Theodore
and Marvel Lesperance LaJoy. He attended Ogdensburg schools, he then joined the
US Army from 1968-1969 during the Vietnam War. He worked for the NYS Department
of Transportation as a painter and was a member of the Painters Union Local 925;
he then worked at Fort Drum. He married Gail Rivet on May 22, 2003 in Lisbon.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, collecting, making crafts, woodworking, and making

contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley and Palliative Care.
