Funeral services for Kathryn Lynch Bromling, age 86, of 716
Franklin St., Ogdensburg, will be held on Monday, August 18, 2008 at 10:30 a.m.
at St. Mary’s Cathedral with Rev. Terry LaValley officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 2:00
to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Frary Funeral Home. Mrs. Bromling passed away Thursday evening at
St. Joseph’s Nursing Home where she had been a resident since 2006.
Mrs. Bromling is survived by her husband, Allen G. Bromling;
her daughter, Patricia Harrington and her husband, Jon, of West Potsdam, NY;
and two nieces, Kathryn Woodward of Ontario, Canada and Donna White of
Rensselaer Falls. She is predeceased by
a daughter Nancy B. Wise in 2004 and a sister, Patricia Lacombe in 2004.
Mrs. Bromling was born on February 16, 1922 in Ogdensburg,
the daughter of James and Elizabeth LaCombe Lynch. She graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in
1939. She attended Ogdensburg Business
School. She worked in Washington, DC
during World War II as a Secretary helping out during the war effort. She was married to Allen G. Bromling on May
6, 1946 at St. Mary’s Rectory by her uncle, Rev. Dennis Lynch. Mrs. Bromling was a member of St. Mary’s
Cathedral and a former member of the Potsdam Town and Country Club. She enjoyed reading, swimming, dancing,
music, bridge groups, crossword puzzles and watching old movies. She also volunteered at the Remington Museum
and at St. Joseph’s Nursing Home. She was
also a member of the Altar and Rosary Society.
She loved to cook.

Foundation and the Alzheimer’s Association.
