Funeral services for Margaret Agnes Hogan, age 95, of Ogdensburg, NY and formerly of Wolfe Island, Ontario, will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at St. Joseph’s Church in Kingston, ON, at 12:00PM with Rev. Raymond deSouza officiating. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery on Wolfe Island. Calling hours will be held from 11:00AM to 12:00PM at St. Joseph’s Church. Arrangements are entrusted to Frary Funeral Home. Mrs. Hogan passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 3, 2017, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Agnes is survived by her children, Owen Hogan and his wife, Sharon, of Wolfe Island, Ontario, Evan Hogan and his wife, Jodi, of Longmont, CO, Brenda Rabel of South Charleston, WV, Maureen Widrick and her husband, Allen, of Spencerport, NY, Barbara Bromley and her husband, Robert, of Ogdensburg, NY and one sister, Wilda Henderson of Wolfe Island, Ontario; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, a sister-in-law, Irma Hogan and a brother-in-law, Everett Hogan of Kingston, Ontario. She is predeceased by a daughter, Karen Campaney; a son-in-law, John Rabel; two brothers, Wilfred Bolton and Richard Bolton and three sisters, Anna Lawrence, Carmel Robinson and Rosetta McCrory.
Agnes was born on August 9, 1922, on Wolfe Island, Ontario, the daughter of William and Margaret O’Brien Bolton. She attended school on Wolfe Island. Margaret married Ralph Hogan on June 9, 1942, at Sacred Heart Church on Wolfe Island, Ontario. He predeceased her on July 22, 1982.
Agnes’s greatest joy was spending time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed sewing and quilting.
