Margaret Pauline “Peggy” Corrice

Margaret Pauline “Peggy” Corrice, age 79, of Ogdensburg, NY, passed away peacefully at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center on Tuesday, November 27, 2018.

Margaret is survived by her loving husband, Anthony “Tony” Corrice; four children, Colleen Corrice, of Mooers Forks, NY, Anthony C. Corrice, of Oviedo, FL, Sean Corrice, of Middletown, NY, and Lance Corrice and his wife Susan, of Oakdale, CT; four grandchildren, Lily and Amanda Corrice, and Meagan and Laura Morelock; a brother, Fred J. Raymon of Ticonderoga, NY; and a brother-in-law, Ronald Corrice of Indianapolis, IN.

Margaret was born on January 8, 1939, in Ogdensburg, NY, the daughter of Fred A. and Teresa R. (McGraw) Raymon. She graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in 1957 and continued her education at BOCES Northwest-Tech in Ogdensburg. She married Anthony Corrice on September 3, 1966 at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Ogdensburg with Msgr. Arthur M. Leary officiating. Margaret worked for the New York Telephone Company as a switchboard operator and later for the NYS Psychiatric Center. After raising her children, she went to work as an executive secretary for St. Joseph’s Nursing Home in Ogdensburg, retiring with over 20 years of service.

She enjoyed reading, sewing, crocheting, bowling in the Heuvelton Women’s Bowling League and travelling with her family. She served for many years as the caregiver for her Aunt Pauline Raymon. Margaret was a dedicated parishioner at St. Raphael’s Church, where she belonged to the Altar Rosary Society for many years and served as a Eucharistic Minister as well. Margaret was happiest while spending time with her family.

Calling hours will be held from 2:00PM to 4:00PM and 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Sunday, December 2, 2018, at Frary Funeral Home, Ogdensburg. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 3, 2018, at 10:00AM at St. Raphael’s Church with Rev. Kevin O’ Brien officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. A reception will be held afterwards for family and friends at St. Raphael’s Church Reception Center.
