Bouchey, Marie Charlotte

Funeral services for Marie C. Bouchey, age 91, of 840 Pearl
Street, Ogdensburg, will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at 11:00 a.m.
at Notre Dame Church with Rev. F. James Shurtleff celebrating and Rev. John
Bradley as the concelebrant. Burial will
be in Ogdensburgh Cemetery. Calling
hours will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00
p.m. at Frary Funeral Home. Mrs. Bouchey
passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2009 at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center.

 

Mrs. Bouchey is survived by one daughter, Barbara Bradley,
and her husband, Thomas, of Alexandria Bay and one son, Richard Bouchey, and
his wife, Sue, of Ogdensburg; eleven
grandchildren, Maureen Bouchey, Thomas and Sue Bouchey, Brian and Sue Bouchey,
Scott Bouchey, Tisha and Scott McCormick, Martha and Joe Lightfoot, Stasun
Hebert, Thomas and Kim Bradley, Michael and Lorelee Bradley, Mary Ellen and
John Hynes and Lynne and Cory Hebert; and seventeen great grandchildren. She was predeceased by five brothers, Myron,
Maurice, Milton, Merton and Mark Jacques; and one sister, Muriel Jacques.

Mrs. Bouchey was born in Russell, N.Y. on January 8, 1918,
the daughter of Roy and Eva Hickok Jacques. She graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy in June 1936. She married Thomas Bouchey on April 13, 1940
at Notre Dame Church in Ogdensburg. Mr.
Bouchey predeceased her on April 27, 1964. Mrs. Bouchey worked at the St. Lawrence Psychiatric
Center for brief time after high school. In 1965, she went to work at Diamond International in Quality Control,
Sample Room. She retired on September 1,
1978.

She was a member of Notre Dame Parish. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood working
and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Donations may be made in her memory to the Ogdensburg Boys
and Girls Club.

    I was so very sorry to hear about Aunt Marie’s passing. She was loved so deeply by each of you. May your memories and love for her sustain you through this difficult time. Although she will be sadly missed here with you please find comfort in knowing that she was greeted by many Bouchey arms who welcomed her to her final resting place. Peace and Love to you all.
