To Mr. Sholette, Lornie, Brad, Carol and Scotty: where do I start? Thank you for sharing your mom with me. I spent much of my childhood in your home and with Marie. I just wish I had spent my adulthood there too. What a great person she was.

Remember your camp on Loafers Lane, the garage sleepovers, Marie’s spagetti, Momma Castro and the relatives from Watertown, your dog Sam, ice hockey in the back yard, beating up Brad and Scott when we could, watching TV in the back room, endless hours stocking the coolers at the store, that old station wagon you had, Uncle Gerald, Aunt Mem, the endless cousins, your grandfather, Mournie, hanging around at the grocery store and eating pickled eggs, going over to my grandmothers house and drinking orange crush; people like Brian Wade, Scott Shoen, Chris Mitchell, Brian Morley, Don Given, poker night at the garage, playing chase, did I mention stocking the coolers at the store?

All made possible by Marie and the home and life she set up for us all.

With a family of my own now I have high standards to shoot for thanks to Marie.

On a serious note: my deepest sympathy to your entire family for the loss. I hope my comments remind you of how much impact one person can have on the lives of others.

    All our love,

    Wally
