Funeral services for Marjorie R. Sharland, age 86, of 711
Riverside Drive, Ogdensburg will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2009 at
10:00 a.m. at Frary Funeral Home.  Burial
will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in the spring.
Calling hours will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Friday.  Mrs. Sharland passed away on Tuesday evening,
February 10, 2009 at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center.

 

 

Mrs. Sharland is survived by three daughters, Mary Wood,
Marjorie Rose and her husband, Stephen, Ann Johnson and her husband, Charles,
all of Ogdensburg; three sons, Harold and his companion, Mary Kelly, of Canton,
Michael of Rochester and Christopher and his wife, Sheila, of Rochester; one
brother, Bernard Devilin of Daytona Beach; eleven grandchildren, Melanie Wood, Michele Montroy, Jess and Kristopher Giltinan, Stacey Laflair, Lori, Michael, Vanessa and Michal Sharland, and Chris and Kayleigh Sharland; nine great grandchildren, Allison and Austin Latimer, Alex Wood, Adam and Steven Montroy, Nicholas Sweeney, Emma Laflair, and Jayden and Jensen Sharland.  Mrs. Sharland was
predeceased by two sisters, Mary-Ellen Matichowski and Kathleen Carty.

Mrs. Sharland was born in Ogdensburg on November 29, 1922,
the daughter of Charles and Edna Roles Devilin.
She attended local schools.  At
one time, she worked at Cleveland Container.
She married Harold Sharland on February 21, 1944 at St. Mary’s Cathedral
with Rev. F. G. Coseo officiating.  Mr.
Sharland died in 1977.

Mrs. Sharland loved to walk, enjoyed her children and
grandchildren, doing puzzles and going shopping.

Donations may be made in her memory to the American Heart
Association.

      Thank You for your words of comfort. Know that your sister was loved and will be greatly missed. Her services were beautiful. She was surrounded by pink,her favorite color. Take care of yourself.
