Funeral services for Nancy Otis, age 62, of Ogdensburg, will
be held on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at Frary Funeral Home with Rev. Walter Smith
officiating.  Calling hours will be held
on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.  Ms.
Otis passed away Friday morning (August 15, 2008) at Crouse Irving Hospital in
Syracuse surrounded by her family.


Ms. Otis is survived by her parents, Robert J. Otis and
Barbara A. Otis, both of Ogdensburg; five sisters, Constance Ashwood and her
husband, Donald, of Lake Placid, Mary Lynch and Maureen Brayton, both of
Ogdensburg, Kaye Otis of Syracuse, Laurie Bartle and her husband, Rusty, of
Antwerp; two brothers, Robert, Jr. and his wife, Kim, of Ogdensburg and John
Otis of Potsdam; and several nieces and nephews.

Ms. Otis was born on March 15, 1946 in Ogdensburg, the
daughter of Robert and Barbara Boyer Otis.
She graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in 1963.  She graduated from St. Lawrence State
Hospital School of Nursing in 1966.  She
was very active in nursing for over 40 years.
She had a variety of hobbies that included reading, painting, making her
own earrings and silk flower arrangements.
She was a self taught interior decorator.  She was also an avid fisherman.  She traveled extensively both in the U.S. and
abroad.  She loved big cities and lived
many years in New York City, New Orleans, Virginia and Florida.  She retired and moved to Ogdensburg two years
ago.

Donations may be made in her memory to the charity of one’s
choice.

    Where to begin- I am glad that I was given the opportunity to have you in my life. You are a beautiful woman and a beautiful soul. I hope that you find peace in Heaven and I will meet you again when the time is right.
