Genevieve "Genny" Trombly

The loved Genevieve "Genny" Trombly, 89, of Malone passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025.

Calling hours will be held January 2, 2026 from 12:30pm to 2:30pm at Frary Funeral Home in Malone. Funeral will follow at 3pm at the funeral home with Deacon Brent Charland officiating. Burial will be in the spring at the Stevens Cemetery in Brandon.

Genny was born on October 28, 1936 in Brandon, NY to the late Gerald and Dorothy (Shantie) Trombly. She attended Brandon School. She went to work for North Star Industries before finding her true purpose in life and became a dishwasher for the Country Side Dinner until she was in her 70s. Genny enjoyed crafting, shopping, television, cleaning house, and being around everyone . She was a spit fire to be around and would tell you what was on her mind no matter what or who you were.

Genny is survived by her two daughters; Gladys Trombly of Massena and Maxine Smith of Newburgh, her two sisters; Mary Wheeler of Hogansburg and Glenda (Earl) Marlowe of Malone, a brother Lawrence Trombly of Madrid, seven grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Gerald K. and Dorothy M. (Shantie) Trombly, her siblings; Annavieve (her twin sister), Dawn, Debra, Gerald Jr., Geraldine, and her son Steven Mitchell.

The family of Genny would like to extend their heart felt appreciation to the Constable B staff for the love and care they gave Genny for all the time she was there.
