Leon Francis Miner

Graveside services for Leon Francis Miner, age 77, formerly of Ogdensburg, will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at 1:00 PM in Hailesboro Cemetery in Gouverneur. Mr. Miner passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Carthage Nursing Home.

Born on May 6, 1947, in Tupper Lake, NY, he was the son of the late Louis and Flora LaBrie Miner. Leon met his wife, Susan Marie Day, while working at the NYSARC. They were married in Ogdensburg, NY, on June 7, 1999. Susan predeceased him on December 17, 2002. Leon enjoyed playing bingo and loved winning prizes.

He is survived by his sister-in-law, Donna Sovie, as well as his niece Michelle (Zach) White of Chasm Falls, and nephew Craig (Lynn) Livernois of Malone; his great nephews Lucien White, Chandler Livernois, and Ryan Livernois; his great niece Kayla Livernois; and several cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Louis and Flora LaBrie Miner; his brother, Louis N. Miner; and his sister, Mary Livernois.

Leon cherished his family and enjoyed the times they spent together.
