Michael James Brenno, born to William Frank Brenno and Elaine (Lovely) Brenno on March 4th, 1959, suddenly passed away on September 13th 2025 at the age of 66 with his family by his side at Upstate Community Hospital in Syracuse. Mike was well known for his quick wit, for his wrestling prowess during high school, and his smart mouth. In his early days, he attended OFA, graduating in 1978. He moved to Texas and joined the Merchant Marines. He then moved back home to Ogdensburg and met his wife Mary where they were joined in holy matrimony on September 15th, 1990. They relocated to Newfield, NY, where they lived for the next 32 years. He worked for Cornell University Laundry as a delivery driver in Ithaca for many years, he was a spectacular Mechanic at many different shops, and also worked at the Newfield CSD-where he eventually retired. He was a proud member of the Moose Lodge. Mikey, as he was fondly known by family and friends, was a comedian. He made sure to make everyone laugh whenever possible. He was a big softy when it came to animals. He loved watching the Deadliest Catch, and his soap operas. He was an avid bowler and could play a mean game of horseshoes. He was a devoted Miami Dolphins fan and brought his daughter to several games over the years. His best friend, his dog Max, was his most devoted sidekick and he wouldn't even go to the store without bringing Max inside to sit in the cart.
Mike is survived by his spouse, Mary S. Brenno (Meeker), his daughter, Molly J. Brenno (Todd), his grandchildren: Connor James and Charlotte "Lottie" Love Brockway, his mother Elaine (Lovely) Brenno, his siblings: Cheryl (John) Hammill, Angela (Brian) Dezell, Lisa (Vince) Schittino, Todd (Amy) Brenno, and Billie-Jo Brenno, along with many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by: William F. Brenno (father), Jeffrey Brenno (brother), Geoffrey Brenno (nephew), Nickolas Brenno (nephew), Lanie Brenno (niece), brother-in-law Butch Brothers, his father and mother-in-law, Lawrence and Sally Meeker, and sister-in-law, Anne Meeker.
Mikey will be missed so very much by everyone especially by his grandchildren Connor and Charlotte who lovingly calling him "Pa-Paw" and his dog, Max.
