Patricia A. Bean

Patricia A. Bean, 84, of Ogdensburg, NY, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center. Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are under the direction of Frary Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Ogdensburg.

Patricia was born in Helena, NY the daughter of the late Harold E. and Willametta Elizabeth (Baxter) Hewlett on February 26, 1941. She attended St. Lawrence Central School and graduated in 1958. She went on to graduate from the Ogdensburg Business School, she later took courses at Mater Dei to further her knowledge. On June 14, 1960 she married Eugene Bean in Niagara Falls, NY. She assisted her husband in the business operation of Bean Foundations in Ogdensburg until their retirement.

Patricia is survived by her husband, Eugene Bean; her sons, Peter Bean of Ogdensburg and Paul Bean and his wife Lori of Toledo, OH, her grandsons, Andrew Bean of Ohio and Edward Bean of New York City; all of her loving siblings, Marilyn Gale of Moira, Carolyn Kendall of Georgia, Norman and Nancy Hewlett of Massena, Jacqueline Dishaw of Helena, Charles and Bonnie Hewlett of Massena, Linda Taylor of Winthrop, and Randy Hewlett of Florida, and many nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her parents; her sister, Sue Hewlett; her brother, Larry, and his wife, Marlene Hewlett; her brothers-in-law, Bob Gale, Daniel Dishaw, and James Taylor; and a sister-in-law, Joyce Helwett.
