Ronald Dale French

Funeral services for Ronald Dale French, age 74, of Ogdensburg, NY, will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Frary Funeral Home with Pastor Chris officiating. Interment will follow at Oswegatchie Mausoleum. Visitation will be held prior to services from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Frary Funeral Home, Ogdensburg. Mr. French passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at his home under the care of Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley. Following the services, a luncheon will be held at the Frary House next to the funeral home on Caroline St., where friends and family are invited to bring a dish to share.

Ronald is survived by his son, Kiley French and fiance, Denise Harper, of Ogdensburg, NY; three grandchildren, Emily Mae French, Jessica Ann French, and Kayla Marie French; a special niece, Crystal Wade of Huntersville, NC; his brother, Delwin French and his wife, Nancy, of Madrid, NY; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ronald is predeceased by his parents, Nellis and Dorothy French; his brothers, Gary French, Arnold French, Larry French, and a sister, Charlene Poore.

Ronald was born on February 24, 1951, in Ogdensburg, NY, the son of the late Nellis and Dorothy (Recore) French. He graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy in 1971. On December 20, 1969, he married Patricia Ann "Patsy" French at Notre Dame Church, with Rev. Joseph Trombley officiating. Patsy predeceased him on December 17, 2022. Ronald began his career at Dairymen's League in 1969, where he worked until 1971. He was then employed with Shade Roller until 1990 before continuing his career with the State of New York as a Correctional Officer. After 23 years of his service there, he retired in 2013.

Ronald enjoyed golfing in the summertime and bowling in the winter. Above all, Ron cherished time spent with his family and remained steadfast in his faith as a Born-again Christian.
