Bernard 'Bernie' Bean Obituary (2017)

Bernard Bean Bernie Bean ,71, of Tupper Lake passed away on Wednesday September,27,2017 at Albany Medical Center following a brief illness. Bernie was born in the Bronx, NY on 12/31/1945. He came to live in Tupper Lake in his early teens . Bernie was an avid lover of music , often seen around town playing his guitar at community events or carrying his radio everywhere he went with his favorite tunes drifting behind him. He was an active member of the Tupper Lake Christian Center, the Wild Center and an employee of the Watertown Daily Times as a newspaper carrier for over 20 years. Some of his proudest moments in life were meeting political figures and CEOs also known as "big wigs" and collecting their business cards to correspond through letters , boasting about each one he would receive. He is survived by his sisters Wilhelmina Armstrong , Rhonda Mae and Julia Bean. He will be greatly missed by all, especially his Adirondack Arc family. A funeral service will be held on Thursday , October 5,2017 @ 11am at the Tupper Lake Christian Center with burial to follow in St Alphonsus Cemetery.
