Funeral services for Patricia LaRue, age 70, of 500
Miner Street Road, Canton, will be held at the convienence of the family. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Canton
at the convenience of the family. Mrs.
LaRue passed away Friday, August 14, 2009, at Canton-Potsdam Hospital with all
of her family at her side after being transferred from United Helpers
Nursing Home in Canton.
Mrs. LaRue is survived by her husband, Francis; two sons,
Curtis LaRue and his wife, Debbie, of Lisbon and Joseph LaRue and his wife,
Sue, of Gainesville, VA; four granddaughters Jessica, Candace, Erin and
Kimberley and two brothers, Ellsworth Hall of Delmar, NY and Derwood Hall of
Mrs. LaRue was born on March 9, 1939 in Gouverneur, the daughter of Charles and
Milly Webb Hall. She graduated from Edwards High School in 1956. She first
attended dental school in Long Island and later Potsdam State Crane School of
Music. She married Francis LaRue on
December 19, 1961 in Heuvelton. She then earned her nursing school certificate
in 1966 and first worked at St. Joseph’s Nursing Home in Ogdensburg and later
for United Helpers Nursing Home in Canton. Patricia enjoyed spending time with
her grandchildren, playing piano, needlepoint and gardening.
Donations may be made in her memory to St. Lawrence Valley Hospice.
