Funeral services for Patricia M. Coleman, age 78, of 414
Lincoln Avenue, will be held Friday at 11:30 a.m. at Notre Dame Church with the
Rev. F. James Shurtleff officiating. The
burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 pm
at Frary Funeral Home. Mrs.
Coleman died Wednesday evening at St. Joseph’s Nursing Home.
Mrs. Coleman is survived
by one daughter, Sandra Kendall and her husband, Kenneth, of Ogdensburg; one
son, Edward, and his wife, Joan of Brockville, Ontario; long time companion,
Kenneth Courtney; one sister, Agnes DePue
of Ogdensburg; five grandchildren, Alison Coleman of Brockville, Erika Coleman
of Toronto, Kendra Moran and her husband, Jason, of Ogdensburg, Karen Mathews and her husband, Benjamin of
Ogdensburg, and Kevin Kendall, of Ogdensburg; two great-grandchildren Logan and
Aiden Moran. She was predeceased by a sister,
June Newcomb and two brothers, Corliss and James Rheome.
Mrs. Coleman was born
November 14th, 1929 in Ogdensburg, NY, the daughter of Edgar and
Florence Lesperance Rheome. She
Graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1946.
She married George Coleman June 4th, 1946 at St. Mary’s
Church. Mr. Coleman died on Sept. 1st,
Mrs. Coleman first worked
for Kallen’s Fur Store and later worked
for Kinney’s Drug Store. In 1973 she
worked for Hepburn Hospital, working as a secretary for purchasing. She retired in 1985. After retirement, she spent a lot of time at
the Factory Fireplace Outlet Store owned by her son, Ed.
Mrs. Coleman enjoyed
spending time with her grandchildren.
