Funeral services for Rita Montroy, age 69, of Linden Street,
Ogdensburg will be held on Monday, September 29, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Notre
Dame Church with Rev. F. James Shurtleff officiating.  Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery.  Calling hours will be held on Sunday from
2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Frary Funeral Home.
Mrs. Montroy passed away Friday afternoon (September 26, 2008) at her

Mrs. Montroy is survived by two sons, Larry of
Hubbardsville, NY and Joseph of Germany; two daughters, Suellen Tulowiecki and
her husband, Anthony of Liverpool and Ann Ritchie of Ogdensburg; two sisters,
Marion Dawson and her husband, William, Betty Hollis, both of Ogdensburg; two
brothers, William Hollis and his wife, Hilda, and Jack Hollis and his wife,
Elaine, both of Ogdensburg; a sister-in-law, Jean Hollis of Ogdensburg; six
grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by one
brother, Charles.

Mrs. Montroy was born on August 9, 1929 in Ogdensburg, the
daughter of Walter and Pearl Farrand Hollis.
She graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in 1948.  She was a homemaker all her life.  She enjoyed her grandchildren, ceramics and

Cancer Treatment Center and Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley.

    Ann, Joe, Larry, Sue and to all of Rita’s family.
    I am so sorry for your loss. It is a tragic loss for everyone. Rita was one of the nicest people I have ever known. a real sweetheart in so many ways. She surely loved her family and would do anything for anyone if she could. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you.
