Funeral services for Sarah (“Sally”) Buckendorf, age 48, of
1020 Ford St., Ogdensburg will be held on Monday at 12:00 noon at St. John’s
Episcopal Church with Rev. Robert Longbottom officiating. Burial will be at a later date. There will be no public calling hours. Arrangements are with Frary Funeral
Home. Sally passed away at Claxton
Hepburn Medical Center Friday evening, (February 15, 2008) where she had been a
patient since February 12.
Among her survivors are her husband, Robert; two
stepdaughters, Brandy and Jenny Buckendorf of Colorado; four brothers, Thomas
Ives and his wife, Beth, of Ogdensburg, Joe and his wife, Kim, also of
Ogdensburg, John Ives of Saranac Lake and Peter Ives and his wife, Jessica, of
Florida; two sisters, Holly Smith and her husband, Bob, of Florida and Kitty
Reay and her husband, Joe, also of Florida; and several nieces and
nephews. Ms. Buckendorf was predeceased
by two brothers, David (“Munk”) Ives and Andrew Ives.
Mrs. Buckendorf was born on May 31, 1959, the daughter of
John and Geraldine (Seguin) Ives in Ogdensburg.
She graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy. After high school, she earned college credits
in Colorado. She worked in the
Accounting Department for McCarthy Construction in the North Country. She also worked for Doyle Builders in the
bookkeeping department. She married
Robert Buckendorf on July 4, 1987 in Black Lake with Jim Phillips officiating. Mrs. Buckendorf loved music and going to
garage sales and being with people.
